Join us for the Walk for Wildlife, a charity-sponsored event in support of the vital conservation work at Banham Zoo and Africa Alive.
Walk at your own pace alongside our zookeepers, through scenic looped routes of Banham or Kessingland village, enjoying the beautiful surroundings as you choose a distance that suits you best.
With every step, you’ll be raising crucial funds for the Together for Wildlife campaign, directly supporting our conservation projects, animal care, and educational programmes.

How do charity walks work?
Participants pay an entry fee and raise additional funds through sponsorships. Walkers can choose their distance, and all funds raised support our conservation efforts.

The walk consists of looped 5K routes, so you can walk as long or as short as you like, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Can you make friends on charity walks?

What if I can’t walk the whole distance?
That’s okay! The event is designed to be flexible, so you can walk as much as you’re comfortable with. Every step counts toward helping our cause.
Is the route accessible for people of all abilities?
Yes, the route is fully accessible and suitable for participants of all abilities.
Is the event dog-friendly?
Yes, the walk is dog-friendly. However, if you plan to enter the zoo after the walk, we kindly ask that a member of your group stays with the dog outside the zoo, as pets are not permitted inside.
How do I enter the zoo after the walk?
Admission to the zoo is included with your event registration. Simply show your event confirmation on the day, and you will be granted entry into the zoo.
What is the celebratory evening?
Participants will be invited back to the zoo for a special evening event during the summer to celebrate their achievements from the walk. This will be a free event for all walk participants. Date to be confirmed.
